Adding a Custom Startup Server to an SDK (Windows CE 5.0)

After you create an SDK for an OS design, you can add support for a custom startup server to the SDK.

To add a custom startup server to an SDK

  1. From the Platform menu, choose SDK and then choose Configure SDK.

    The SDK Settings dialog box appears.

  2. Choose the Startup Servers tab.

  3. Choose Add.

  4. In the Display name box, type a name to display on the Startup Servers tab for the startup server that you want to add.

  5. In the Desktop DLL path box, type the path to the location of the .dll file for the startup server.

    - or -

    Choose Browse, select the .dll file for the host-side part of the transport, and then choose Open.

  6. Choose OK.

To edit a custom startup server

  1. From the Platform menu, choose SDK and then choose Configure SDK.

  2. Choose the Startup Servers tab.

  3. Select the startup server and then choose Edit.

    You cannot edit a built-in startup server.

To delete a custom startup server

  1. From the Platform menu, choose SDK and then choose Configure SDK.

  2. Choose the Startup Servers tab.

  3. Select the startup server and then choose Delete.

    You cannot delete a built-in startup server.
