You can cut, copy, or paste text in a text editor.

To cut, copy, or paste text

  1. Select the text that you want to cut or copy.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Cut or Copy.

    The cut or copied text is placed onto the Clipboard and is available for pasting.

  3. Move the insertion point to any source window where you want to insert the text.

  4. Choose Paste from the Edit menu.
