Internet Connection Wizard

The Internet Connection Wizard component lets you configure an Internet connection on a network or dial-up device. This component also allows you to register for a new dial-up Internet connection by using the Microsoft Referral Server.

Several parts of Windows, for example, Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player, use this component to determine if an Internet connection exists and to create one if the connection is missing.
