Setting up the TI OMAP5912 Aruba Board Hardware (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/5/2010

The following steps show you how to connect the TI OMAP5912 Aruba Board to a development workstation.

To set up the TI OMAP5912 Aruba Board hardware

  1. Connect the custom serial cable to the debug serial port.

The TI OMAP5912 Aruba Board has a special serial header (J7) that requires a custom cable.

    Note

The pin order for the serial header (Rev 1.1) is incorrect in the user guide (Rev 0.2). The correct order is: 2 - TXD, 3 - RXD, 5 - GND, other pins float.

  2. Connect the power supply to the board.

The TI OMAP5912 Aruba Board is powered by the USB bus, so you just need to connect it to the development workstation through USB cable.

  3. Verify that the jumper settings on your board are correct.
