IXRPasswordBox::GetSelectionForeground (Compact 2013)

3/28/2014

This method retrieves the brush used to paint the selected text in this password box.

Syntax

virtual HRESULT STDMETHODCALLTYPE GetSelectionForeground(
    __out IXRBrush** ppSelectionForeground
) = 0;

Parameters

  • ppSelectionForeground
    [out] Pointer to a pointer to an IXRBrush derived object used to paint the selected text in this password box.

Return Value

Returns an HRESULT that indicates success or no success.

Remarks

The brush in ppSelectionForeground changes the foreground of the selected password displayed in this password box. For example, a brush for the selection foreground can represent a solid color, or a linear or radial gradient. For more information about brush classes derived from IXRBrush, see IXRBrush.

To use a specific interface pointer type, you can use the helper template version of this method that XAML for Windows Embedded provides. When you supply a derived type, this version automatically supplies a type-safe method that implicitly converts the returned type from a generic interface, so you do not have to explicitly call QueryInterface to convert the generic interface into the required object type.
