You must include the Device User Experience package in your image if you want the Devices and Printers item in Control Panel to display task items such as Add a device and Device Manager.

This package includes the system file Dinotify.exe, which is used to notify the user when new devices are installed or discovered. If this package is not included in your image, adding a new device or even waking your Windows Embedded Standard 7 device causes an error message to be displayed, stating that Windows cannot find Dinotify.exe. You can include either the Dialog Box Filter or Message Box Default Reply package to prevent error messages from being displayed, or you can create group policies to prevent devices from being added to your Standard 7 device, or to prevent it from sleeping.
