Oobe.xml Technical Reference (Standard 7 SP1)

7/8/2014

Oobe.xml is a content file that is used to collect text and graphic images for customizing Windows Welcome, Welcome Center, and ISP Signup. To build a single Standard 7 image that contains multiple languages to deliver to more than one country or region, you can add multiple Oobe.xml files to customize the content based on the language and country or region selections of the customer.

Samples

A sample of Oobe.xml is provided with Windows Embedded Standard 7 Toolkit in the \Samples directory. These files contain references to the fictitious OEM Fabrikam. To use these samples in a production environment, remove all references to Fabrikam and replace them with appropriate information and content for your deployment.
