Verify viewing and selecting all menu options in Bootloader (Compact 7)

This test verifies that all bootloader menu options are functional.

Your device must meet the following requirements before you run this test.

Setting Up the Test

See the bootloader documentation provided with the hardware platform for instructions on how to enter the bootloader menu. In many cases, this might involve some or all of the following steps:

1. Connect a serial cable to the device.

2. Start a terminal program (such as HyperTerminal) to interact with the bootloader via the serial port.

3. While in the terminal program, push a key (for example: SPACEBAR) on the keyboard to enter the bootloader soon after powering on the device.

Running the Test

After bringing the bootloader menu into view (for example, via a terminal program connected to the device with a serial cable):

1. Exhaustively select each item in the menu hierarchy.

2. For each bootloader settings change, verify that the new settings are honored by the bootloader.

Verifying the Test

Verify that you can bring up the boot menu and you are able to view and change settings.
