Traditional Chinese Pocket IME Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables (Compact 7)

In Windows Embedded Compact, you can implement functionality for users to type Traditional Chinese characters or phonetic input as input for a Windows Embedded Compact powered device by adding the Pocket input method editor (IME) to your OS.

With an IME, a user can press a key on a keyboard, view character candidates displayed in the UI, and select the correct character to map to the keystroke.

The following table describes the catalog items and associated SYSGEN variables you can use to add an IME for Traditional Chinese to your OS.

Pocket IME

SYSGEN_PIME_TC

Provides a compact IME for Traditional Chinese that includes a customizable UI. Users can choose between phonetic input and radical character input. Soft keyboards are provided for both input methods.
