Windows Embedded Standard 7 Service Pack 1 is an update to Windows Embedded Standard 7 that incorporates improvements to Standard 7 Toolkit and the Windows Embedded Standard 7 client. Windows Embedded Standard 7 is based on the Windows 7 client, and all the updates in Windows 7 Service Pack 1 are included in Standard 7 Service Pack 1. What is Windows Embedded Standard 7 Service Pack 1?
Standard 7 Service Pack 1 has three parts:
A Standard 7 Service Pack 1 update that can be applied to any Standard 7 image.
Important
This update only affects the status of packages that are contained in the original image. For example, if the original image does not contain Internet Explorer functionality, the Standard 7 Service Pack 1 updates to Internet Explorer are not installed.
Tip
Standard 7 Service Pack 1 includes new packages to help you comply with licensing permissions when creating images. For more information about these new packages, see SKU Compliance in Standard 7 SP 1.
Standard 7 Service Pack 1 32-bit and 64-bit distribution shares that install to the same directory as your Standard 7 distribution shares.
