HomeGroup (Standard 8 Module Reference)

7/8/2014

Review the settings, dependencies and any notes for the HomeGroup module in the Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) module catalog.

This module enables a system administrator to connect two or more devices running Windows or Windows Embedded on a home network to automatically start sharing printers, media and document libraries with multiple people in the home.

A homegroup is a group of devices or computers on a home network that can share files, printers, pictures, music, videos, and documents with other people in the homegroup. People outside the homegroup can't change shared files unless they are given permission to do so. Users can help protect a homegroup with a password, which they can change at any time.
