You can develop an application in eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 for a Windows CE-based device using an imported SDK.

To develop an eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 application with an imported SDK

  1. Open Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0.
  2. From the File menu, choose New.
  3. Choose the Projects tab and then select the type of application that you want to build.
  4. In the Project name box, type a name for the project, and then choose OK.
  5. Choose the type of application that you want to create and then choose Finish.
  6. In the New Project Information dialog box, choose OK to create the project.
  7. On the Build toolbar, choose the SDK, the type of run-time image, and the target device.
  8. From the Build OS menu, choose Build and Sysgen Current Project.
