Inserts a string at the specified offset.

oXMLDOMCharacterData.insertData(offset, data);

Script Parameters

  • offset
    Long integer specifying the offset, in characters, at which to insert the supplied string data.
  • data
    String containing the data that is to be inserted into the existing string.

Script Return Value

None.

C/C++ Syntax

HRESULT insertData(longoffset,BSTRdata);

C/C++ Parameters

  • offset
    [in] Offset, in characters, at which to insert the supplied string data.
  • data
    [in] String data that is to be inserted into the existing string.

C/C++ Return Values

  • S_OK
    Value returned if successful.
  • S_FALSE
    Value when returning Null.
  • E_FAIL
    Value returned if an error occurs.

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Msxml2.h, Msxml2.idl.
Link Library: Uuid.lib.

General Remarks

The length property is updated by this operation.

This method applies to the following objects and interfaces:

IXMLDOMCDATASection, IXMLDOMCharacterData, IXMLDOMComment, and IXMLDOMText.
