Microsoft® Windows® CE offers a rich set of features that you can use to customize a platform. Component services, networking capabilities, multimedia support, and many other capabilities are contained within individual OS features.

You can choose from a wide range of OS features through the Catalog items in Platform Builder. You can build a customized OS design from a combination of these Catalog items. Some Catalog items require that other Catalog items be present in your OS design. Platform Builder automatically determines dependencies and adds the appropriate supporting Catalog items to your OS design.
