Join Workgroup or Domain
This dialog allows you to add the computer to a workgroup or to a domain (you cannot join both). If you add the computer to a domain, you can also create a user account on the computer.
To add the computer to a workgroup:
- Choose Make This Computer a Member of the Following Workgroup.
- Type the name of the workgroup or accept the default name suggested in the Workgroup Name box.
- To continue with Setup, click Next. To exit from Setup, click Cancel.
To add the computer to a domain:
- Choose Make This Computer a Member of the Following Domain.
- Type the domain name in the Domain Name box.
- Type the name of any user who has the authority to add the computer to the domain in the User Name box.
- Type the password associated with the user account in the Password and Retype Password fields.
- To continue with Setup, click Next. To exit from Setup, click Cancel.
