Disable Open Network Ports

Open network ports on your run-time image are a potential security threat. Use the Windows Firewall to close all network port access on your run-time image. You can configure Windows Firewall to open only the ports that you require. For more information, see Windows Firewall.

You should not deploy a networked device without the Windows Firewall.
