Selecting the Supported OS Image for an SDK

When you configure an SDK, you must select a CPU that the SDK supports, and select a debug run-time image or a release run-time image for that CPU.

Note   Before building the SDK, you must generate platform headers for the debug run-time image or release run-time image that you have chosen to support in the SDK.

To complete the following steps, you must already have run the Export SDK Wizard for the platform. For information about using the Export SDK Wizard, see Exporting an SDK.

To select the supported run-time image for an SDK

  1. From the Platform menu, choose Configure SDK.

  2. Choose the CPU tab.

If you want to configure the SDK for the Emulator, you must choose the Emulation tab. For more information, see Modifying Emulation Settings for an SDK.

  3. Select the check box next to the CPU family that you want to support.

For more information, see CPU Tab.

  4. Choose a debug or release configuration for each supported CPU family by selecting a CPU family that you want to configure, and then choose Edit.

  5. From the list, select a run-time image configuration, and then choose OK.

  6. Choose OK to close the SDK Configuration Settings dialog box and save your changes.
