Configure TCP/IP Settings

This dialog allows you to specify that TCP/IP settings will be obtained automatically from your network, or to supply static addresses. You may need to get this information from your network administrator.

  1. If you check the IP Address checkbox, type the appropriate addresses for the computer in the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway boxes on the screen. Do not check IP Address if you want the computer to get the address from the network.
  2. If you check the DNS Server Address checkbox, type the appropriate addresses for the DNS servers in the Preferred DNS Server and Alternate DNS Server boxes on the screen. Do not check DNS Server Address if you want the computer to get addresses of DNS servers from the network.
  3. If you check the WINS Server Address checkbox, type the appropriate addresses for the WINS servers in the Preferred WINS Server and Alternate WINS Server boxes on the screen. Do not check WINS Server Address if you want the computer to get addresses of WINS servers from the network.
  4. To continue with Setup, click Next. To exit from Setup, click Cancel.
