Running the test

Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Mouse or other Pointing Device Testing Prerequisites.

Note  

PTLogo Test.FFU.json is used to manually test whether this requirement is met, as per the following validation steps. After all steps have been completed, run PTLogo Test.FFU.json to determine validation status.

 

  1. Verify the current firmware version by running the following command from an elevated command or PowerShell prompt: GetThqaBlob.

  2. Record the firmware version (RevisionID).

  3. Perform the steps that are indicated by the device manufacturer to upgrade the firmware either by using a UEFI capsule update or stand-alone user mode executable with firmware payload.

  4. Verify the new firmware version by running the following command from an elevated command or PowerShell prompt: GetThqaBlob.

  5. Verify that the firmware version (RevisionID) is different from the previously recorded one.

  6. Run the Test.DeviceType test.

  7. If step 5 was successful, manually pass the test (press P). Otherwise, press F to fail the test.
