ISDN\SwitchType

The ISDN\SwitchType entry defines a series of registry keys that store AT commands. Each of these commands configures the ISDN modem for use with a particular type of switch.

Format

One or more command strings.

Examples

ISDN SwitchType registry entries have the following form:

HKR, ISDN\SwitchType, SWITCH_XXX,, "command string"

If the ISDN modem supports only one default switch type (for example, DSS1) and does not support AT commands for selecting this switch type, it might appear impossible to support static configuration. However, an ISDN\SwitchType entry must still be included in the INF file so that the MSN number is available through the Unimodem configuration interface (see the following example).

HKR, ISDN\SwitchType, SWITCH_DSS1,,"AT<cr>" ;DSS1 (Euro-ISDN)

Remarks

If the 1TR6 entry is included in the INF file, the accompanying ISDN\SetEAZ should also be included in the INF file. ISDN\SetEAZ contains commands that are issued to set EAZ (Endgerateauswahlziffer).

If several switch types are included, the default is based on the end user's location, such as DSS1 (Euro-ISDN) for Europe or National ISDN for North America.

The inclusion of an ISDN\SwitchType entry enables the ISDN tab on the modem properties dialog.

It offers the user a Switch Type drop-down box that displays entry boxes for:

  • First Number and SPID/EAZ
  • Second Number and SPID/EAZ
