XformID (NT Wavedriver)

The XformID (NT Wavedriver) entry provides voice functionality for Windows 2000 and later versions of the operating system. It specifies the serial wave format.

4-bit IMA ADPCM 4800 Hz format.

4-bit IMA ADPCM 8000 Hz format.

8-bit unsigned linear PCM at 7200 Hz format.

8-bit unsigned linear PCM at 8000 Hz format.

4-bit Rockwell ADPCM 7200 Hz format, without fixed gain increase.

8 bit u-law (G.711) at 8000 Hz.

This command is placed only in the modem INF file. This command is not placed in a serial wave driver INF file because Windows 2000 and later versions of the operating system do not use a serial wave driver INF file.

In addition, the following keys collectively are found in a modem INF file that is enabled for voice functionality in Windows 2000 and later versions of the operating system:

XformID (NT Wavedriver)

BaudRate (NT Wavedriver)

XformModule (NT Wavedriver)

WaveHardwareID (NT Wavedriver)

WaveDevices (NT Wavedriver)

The Windows 2000 VoiceProfile bit (0x02000000) should also be enabled.
