RSSI Indications

An 802.11 miniport driver makes an RSSI indication whenever the current RSSI for the 802.11 association meets the RSSI trigger criteria. The RSSI trigger is set through OID_802_11_RSSI_TRIGGER. See OID_802_11_RSSI_TRIGGERfor information about the RSSI trigger criteria.

When making an RSSI indication, the StatusBufferparameter of NdisMIndicateStatuspoints to a driver-allocated NDIS_802_11_RSSI buffer that contains the current RSSI value.

RSSI values are in units of dBm and must be negative. Typical RSSI values range from -10 through -200.
