GetCaretDirection method

Gets a value that indicates which direction is defined as the forward direction of the insertion point.

Syntax

HRESULT retVal = object.GetCaretDirection(peDir);

Parameters

  • peDir [out]
    Type: CARET_DIRECTION

    A pointer to a CARET_DIRECTION enumeration value that indicates which direction is the forward direction of the insertion point.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
