Connect to a computer you want to manage

To connect to the computer you want to manage

  1. Open Identity Management for UNIX.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click the Microsoft Identity Management for UNIX node at the top of the hierarchy pane, and then click Connect to another computer. On the Select Computer dialog box, select Another Computer.

    • In the Actions pane, click Connect to another computer, and then select Another Computer.

    • With the Microsoft Identity Management for UNIX node at the top of the hierarchy pane highlighted, click Connect to another computer on the Action menu. On the Select Computer dialog box, select Another Computer.

  3. In the box, type the name of the computer to use, or click Browse.

  4. When you have identified or found the computer you want, click OK.

Note

You must be logged on with an account that has administrator privileges on the remote computer. There is no command-line method for this procedure. To open Identity Management for UNIX, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Identity Management for UNIX, and then click Identity Management for UNIX.
