Unicast streaming plug-ins enable the distribution of content using unicast streaming. Windows Media Services contains the following unicast streaming plug-in:

Windows Media Services 2008 does not support setting Type of Service (TOS) bits for prioritizing the real-time delivery of unicast streams. Instead, Windows Media Services uses Quality of Service (QoS) technologies to manage unicast streaming across a network. QoS technologies allow you to measure bandwidth, detect changing network conditions (such as congestion or availability of bandwidth), and prioritize or throttle traffic.
