Configure IGMP Router Settings

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

  1. Open the Routing and Remote Access MMC snap-in.

  2. In the console tree, click IGMP.

  3. In the details pane, right-click the interface you want to configure, and then click Properties.

  4. Select the Router tab, and then configure the appropriate settings.

For information about these settings, click For more information on the IGMP Router tab.

Notes

  • Typically, you do not need to modify the default IGMP router settings. You should modify these settings only after you have made a careful analysis of your network.

  • Items on the Router tab are available only if IGMP router mode is enabled on the selected interface.

  • By default, IGMP protocol version 3 is selected. To change the IGMP protocol version, select a different version when configuring a new interface for IGMP, or change the version an interface uses by right-clicking the interface and selecting Properties.
