Telnet Client overview

Telnet uses the Telnet protocol (part of the TCP/IP protocol suite) to connect to a remote computer over a network. Telnet Client software allows a computer to connect to a remote Telnet server and run applications on that server.

Windows Services for UNIX includes an improved, command line-oriented Telnet client. You can use the NTLM authentication process to authenticate clients for Telnet connections between computers running Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
