WGF11 Depth Stencil (WoW64)

This automated test verifies D3D graphics driver/hardware conformance for depth stencil functionality and DepthStencilViews.

The features covered by this test include the following:

  • DepthStencil (tests mainly DepthStencilViews) via D3D11 API's

  • Falls back to FL 10.x on D3D10.x parts

  • A Depth/stencil resource stores depth information for primitives rendered on it, with various operations that can be performed on the depth values stored on them against new values being read in. This type of resource is typically used in shadowing applications.

  • Basic functionality for DepthStencil views

  • Cycles through all formats capable of being used for depth-stencil operations

  • Test rendering to Texture 1-D

  • Test rendering to Texture 2-D

  • Varied resource dimensions

  • Array slices

  • Mip levels

  • Basic functionality for ClearDepthStencilView

  • Special floats used to clear view

  • Read-only Depth (D3D11 only)
