IDirect3DDevice9::GetSamplerState method (d3d9.h)

Gets the sampler state value.

Syntax

HRESULT GetSamplerState(
  [in]  DWORD               Sampler,
  [in]  D3DSAMPLERSTATETYPE Type,
  [out] DWORD               *pValue
);

Parameters

[in] Sampler

Type: DWORD

The sampler stage index.

[in] Type

Type: D3DSAMPLERSTATETYPE

This parameter can be any member of the D3DSAMPLERSTATETYPE enumerated type.

[out] pValue

Type: DWORD*

State value to get. The meaning of this value is determined by the Type parameter.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK. If the method fails, the return value can be D3DERR_INVALIDCALL.

Remarks

This method will not return device state for a device that is created using D3DCREATE_PUREDEVICE. If you want to use this method, you must create your device with any of the other values in D3DCREATE."
