IMetaData::GetData method (structuredquery.h)

Retrieves one key/value pair from the metadata of an IEntity, IRelationship, or ISchemaProvider object.

Syntax

HRESULT GetData(
  [out] LPWSTR *ppszKey,
  [out] LPWSTR *ppszValue
);

Parameters

[out] ppszKey

Type: LPCWSTR*

Receives the key of the metadata pair as a Unicode string. The calling application must free the returned string by calling CoTaskMemFree.

[out] ppszValue

Type: LPWSTR*

Receives the value of the metadata pair as a Unicode string. The calling application must free the returned string by calling CoTaskMemFree.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
