ContextInfo2::GetApplicationInstanceId method (comsvcs.h)

Retrieves the GUID of the application instance of the current object context.

This information is useful when using COM+ Application Recycling, for example.

Syntax

HRESULT GetApplicationInstanceId(
  [out] BSTR *__MIDL__ContextInfo20002
);

Parameters

[out] __MIDL__ContextInfo20002

A reference to the application instance identifier.

Return value

This method can return the standard return values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY, E_UNEXPECTED, E_FAIL, and S_OK.
