XMVectorGetZPtr function (directxmath.h)

Retrieve the z component of an XMVECTOR Data Type containing floating-point data, and storing that component's value in an instance of float referred to by a pointer.

Syntax

void XM_CALLCONV  noexcept XMVectorGetZPtr(
  [out] float     *z,
        FXMVECTOR V
);

Parameters

[out] z

Pointer to a float that will receive the value of the z element of the XMVECTOR Data Type object V.

V

A valid 4D vector storing floating-point data.

Return value

None.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 with the Windows SDK for Windows 8. Supported for Win32 desktop apps, Windows Store apps, and Windows Phone 8 apps.
