CSourceStream.CheckRequest method

[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]

The CheckRequest method checks if there is a thread request, without blocking.

Syntax

BOOL CheckRequest(
   Command *pCom
);

Parameters

pCom

Pointer to a variable that receives the value passed in the last call to the CAMThread::CallWorker method.

Return value

Returns TRUE if there is a pending request, or FALSE otherwise.

Remarks

This method overrides the CAMThread::CheckRequest method to perform type-checking. The CSourceStream class defines the following enumerated type for the pCom parameter:

enum Command {CMD_INIT, CMD_PAUSE, CMD_RUN, CMD_STOP, CMD_EXIT};
