[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Player SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer. MediaPlayer has been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer instead of Windows Media Player SDK, when possible. The erase method erases the current CD.

Syntax

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

This method does not return a value.

Remarks

This method will not work if the disc in the drive is not rewritable. Use IWMPCdromBurn.isAvailable to determine whether a CD can be erased.
