Comentarios

El número de generación, o la antigüedad, de un objeto es una medida relativa definida por la implementación de la duración de un objeto. Los objetos creados más recientemente están en la generación 0 y los objetos más antiguos están en una generación menor o igual que la generación devuelta por la MaxGeneration propiedad .

El recolector de elementos no utilizados supone que es más probable que la memoria más reciente sea apta para la recolección de elementos no utilizados que la memoria anterior. Por lo tanto, el recolector de elementos no utilizados mejora su rendimiento ajustando los números de generación cada vez que reclama memoria y el valor de propiedad MaxGeneration puede crecer con el tiempo.

Si se implementa el envejecimiento del objeto, la MaxGeneration propiedad devuelve el número máximo de generación utilizado por el sistema; de lo contrario, esta propiedad devuelve cero.

Para esta implementación, se garantiza que el valor devuelto por la MaxGeneration propiedad permanezca constante durante la vigencia de una aplicación en ejecución.

Utilice la MaxGeneration propiedad para determinar el valor máximo que puede especificar al llamar al Collect(Int32) método que toma un parámetro de generación.
