Using the Accessibility Browser

The Accessibility Browser is a simple explorer tool that provides a means to developing applications that are more accessible to people with disabilities. By following accessibility design practices and using Active Accessibility when needed, you can make applications more accessible. In addition, the Accessibility Browser can help you write automated test suites (or select and buy off-the-shelf Test software).

The Accessibility Browser makes it possible for you to examine the IAccessible properties of objects and how objects are related to each other. The Accessibility Browser is installed in the MSAA folder of the Tools subdirectory. Source code is included so you can enhance the functionality of this explorer-like tool.

To launch the Accessibility Browser

  1. From the Program menu, select Do.
  2. In the Do dialog box, select the ..\Tools\MSAA\accbrow.app file, and click the Do button.
