Inscription au redémarrage de l’application

Pour inscrire votre application à redémarrer, appelez la fonction RegisterApplicationRestart . Rapport d'erreurs Windows (WER) redémarre votre application si elle s’exécute depuis au moins 60 secondes avant de ne plus répondre ou de rencontrer une exception non gérée.

Vous devez également envisager de vous inscrire pour la récupération, ce qui vous permet d’enregistrer des données et des informations d’état qui peuvent être utiles lorsque WER redémarre votre application. WER redémarrera l’application une fois le processus de récupération terminé, si vous vous inscrivez également pour la récupération.

Une fois le processus de récupération terminé, WER arrête l’application, puis la redémarre. Pour les applications console, l’application est démarrée dans une fenêtre de console distincte qui se ferme lorsque l’application se ferme.

Remarque pour les auteurs du programme d’installation d’application : L’inscription au redémarrage de l’application entraîne également le redémarrage automatique de l’application par Windows après le redémarrage de l’ordinateur dans les cas où l’ordinateur est redémarré en raison d’une mise à jour logicielle. Pour que cela fonctionne, le programme d’installation de l’application doit appeler la fonction ExitWindowsEx avec l’indicateur EWX_RESTARTAPPS défini ou la fonction InitiateShutdown avec l’indicateur SHUTDOWN_RESTARTAPPS défini.

L’exemple suivant montre comment s’inscrire pour que WER redémarre votre application. L’exemple provoque une violation d’accès après l’inscription au redémarrage de l’application. La violation d’accès sera récupérée par Rapport d'erreurs Windows et illustrera l’expérience utilisateur de signalement d’erreurs, y compris le redémarrage de l’application.
