Contoh

Kode berikut menserialisasikan instans jenis (PersonVersion2) yang merupakan versi kedua dari jenis yang dapat diserialisasikan (Person). Versi kedua berisi data tambahan (ID bidang) yang tidak ada di versi pertama. Kode kemudian mendeserialisasi dokumen XML ke dalam Person objek, lalu segera menserialisasi ulang objek termasuk data tambahan. ExtensionDataObject adalah struktur yang menyimpan data tambahan yang ditemui oleh XmlObjectSerializer selama operasi deserialisasi.
