Consentire agli utenti non amministratori di installare stampanti in macOS

Per impostazione predefinita, l'installazione di stampanti in macOS richiede che gli utenti siano amministratori. Questa impostazione predefinita è controllata dalle impostazioni dei criteri in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf e può essere modificata.

Se i dispositivi degli utenti sono gestiti da una soluzione MDM come Intune o jamf, è possibile usare uno script per aggiornare il file e rimuovere privilegi amministrativi dai criteri di autorizzazione. Vedere lo script di esempio seguente.

Istruzioni

  1. Aggiornare la direttiva alla <Limit> riga 59 per aggiungere CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer. Questo tag è il gruppo di accesso predefinito senza Require clausola, quindi questa modifica consente a qualsiasi utente di installare/eliminare/modificare stampanti.
  2. Aggiornare la direttiva alla <Limit> riga 75 per rimuovere CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer. Questo gruppo di accesso richiede @SYSTEM autorizzazioni, quindi si vuole rimuovere tale requisito.

Se il file non è stato modificato cupsd.conf in altri modi, è possibile copiare/incollare esattamente il contenuto. In caso contrario, funge da riferimento. Anche il file originale è riportato di seguito per il confronto.
