L'esempio seguente illustra una serie di operazioni comuni dell'archivio certificati , nonché le attività seguenti e le funzioni CryptoAPI seguenti:

In questo esempio viene usata la funzione MyHandleError. Il codice per questa funzione è incluso nell'esempio. Il codice per questa e altre funzioni ausiliarie sono elencate anche in funzioni per utilizzo generico.

In questo esempio viene usata la funzione CreateMyDACL , definita nell'argomento Creazione di un'elenco dati, per assicurarsi che il file aperto venga creato con un'applicazione daCL appropriata.

In questo esempio viene creato un archivio certificati in memoria. Un archivio di sistema viene aperto e duplicato. Un certificato viene recuperato dall'archivio di sistema. Viene creato un nuovo certificato dalla parte codificata del certificato recuperato. Il certificato recuperato viene aggiunto all'archivio memoria. Un secondo certificato viene recuperato dall'archivio personale e un collegamento a tale certificato viene aggiunto all'archivio memoria. Il certificato e il collegamento vengono quindi recuperati dall'archivio memoria e la memoria viene salvata su disco. Tutti gli archivi e i file vengono chiusi.
