SystemInformation.getDBCSEnabled

Determines whether the operating system supports the double-byte character set (DBCS).

Syntax

public static final boolean getDBCSEnabled()

Return Value

Returns true if the operating system supports DBCS; otherwise, returns false.

Remarks

Use the getDBCSEnabled method to determine whether the operating system that your application is running on supports DBCS. Although an operating system may support DBCS, it does not mean that the locale for the application uses DBCS.
