Você pode usar a ForeColor propriedade para alterar a cor do texto do subitem. Essa propriedade poderá ser usada se você quiser usar diferentes combinações de cores de plano de fundo e primeiro plano (usando a BackColor propriedade para definir a cor da tela de fundo) para diferenciar um item de outro.
