По умолчанию, если открытое свойство или поле возвращает объект или массив объектов, типы объектов сериализуются автоматически. Однако если класс содержит поле или свойство, возвращающее массив типа Object, в этот массив можно вставить любой объект. В этом случае необходимо указать , XmlSerializer чтобы ожидать все возможные типы объектов, которые вставляются в Object массив. Параметр overrides позволяет создать XmlSerializer объект , который сериализует класс, который расширяет или переопределяет поведение базового класса. Например, при использовании библиотеки DLL можно создать класс, который наследует или расширяет класс, содержащийся в библиотеке DLL. По умолчанию, если открытое свойство или поле возвращает объект или массив объектов, типы объектов сериализуются автоматически. Однако если класс содержит поле или свойство, возвращающее массив типа Object, в этот массив можно вставить любой объект. В этом случае необходимо указать , XmlSerializer чтобы ожидать все возможные типы объектов, которые вставляются в Object массив. Для этого используйте extraTypes параметр , чтобы указать дополнительные типы объектов для сериализации или десериализации.

Корневой элемент XML-документа заключает все остальные элементы. По умолчанию объект, указанный параметром type , сериализуется как корневой элемент. Свойства, такие как имя элемента XML корневого элемента, берутся из type объекта . Однако параметр позволяет заменить сведения об объекте по умолчанию, root указав XmlRootAttribute; объект позволяет задать другое пространство имен, имя элемента и т. д.
