ID3D11ClassInstance::GetTypeName method (d3d11.h)

Gets the type of the current HLSL class.

Syntax

void GetTypeName(
  [out, optional] LPSTR  pTypeName,
  [in, out]       SIZE_T *pBufferLength
);

Parameters

[out, optional] pTypeName

Type: LPSTR

Type of the current HLSL class.

[in, out] pBufferLength

Type: SIZE_T*

The length of the pTypeName parameter.

Return value

None

Remarks

GetTypeName will return a valid name only for instances acquired using ID3D11ClassLinkage::GetClassInstance.
