Následující příklad ukazuje, jak použít Columns vlastnost. V tomto příkladu byly šablony stránek Dynamická data zkopírovány do složky \DynamicData\CustomPages\ProductDescriptions, aby bylo možné poskytnout vlastní zobrazení pro tabulku ProductDescription databáze AdventureWorksLT. Kód souboru Insert.aspx se změní tak, aby přidal obslužnou rutinu OnDataBound události s názvem DetailsView1_DataBound. V obslužné rutině FindMetaTable události se metoda používá k vyhledání tabulky meta. Vlastnost Columns slouží k zobrazení počtu sloupců v tabulce.
