.NET Framework und .NET Core 2.2 und früheren Versionen: Die aktuelle Instanz und sb sind gleich, wenn sie gleich Zeichenfolge, Capacityund MaxCapacity Werte haben. Die Equals Methode verwendet ordinale Vergleiche, um zu bestimmen, ob die Zeichenfolgen gleich sind.

.NET Core 3.0 und höhere Versionen: Die aktuelle Instanz und sb gleich, wenn die Zeichenfolgen, die beiden StringBuilder Objekten zugewiesen sind, identisch sind. Um die Gleichheit zu ermitteln, verwendet die Equals Methode ordinale Vergleiche. Die Capacity Werte und MaxCapacity Eigenschaftswerte werden im Vergleich nicht verwendet.
