KB4601380 does fix the issue on 1909 here.
Work Folder (Arbeitsordner) Error/Fehler: 0x8007017c - The Cloud operation is invalid (Der Cloudvorgang ist ungültig)
Hello everyone,
unfortunately synchronization is no longer possible. Setting up the new user profiles and setting up the new work folder on the server was not successful. Synchronization is currently no longer possible. The problem occurs with both PCs where the user works with. Can someone help?

2020-12-14T11:23:59.49+00:00 Hi all,
Just in case it helps... Struggling with a very similar issue since last week... Work Folders that were running for a long time randomly fail. We are an MSP, seen on several different installs, with totally distinct and unconnected environments. WF server is both 2016 and 2019, depending on customers. WF fail for some users, not all of them, but always with the same "Invalid cloud operation".
We are currently trying to find whether it's due to a client update, server update... Does not seem to be server-side.
Seen on clients with Windows 10 1909
Seems to be a big issue

2020-12-14T12:13:06.693+00:00 Hi Thomas,
We are now wondering if it could be an issue caused by our antivirus. We are using Eset Nod32, do you happen to use the same product ?
Server version updated to 7.2.12004.2, and it seems that clients that reboot since then exhibit the issue, whether they are on the latest client version or not. -

2020-12-14T13:31:09.22+00:00 I forgot to mention that I am using the working folders with an ADFS.
The authentication works without any problems.
Only the "WFS-ync" has the problem.
