Suspected collision between WACOM driver and edge.

I'm currently using Windows 10.
After updating with the latest version of the driver of the liquid crystal tablet(cintiq) of Wacom (wacom.com),
When used with the edge, the blue screen pops up and a forced reboot occurs.
The warning phrase for the blue screen is 'resource not owned'.
Currently, it has been downgraded to the previous version, but the same problem continues to occur.
And, the edge was automatically updated around the same time.
Is this a problem with edge or wacom driver?

For your information, I am currently using Chrome.
No such collision was found in Chrome.

I have the same issue as well. Using Wacom Intuos Pro and when I wanna annotate a pdf file with Edge, it crashes into win32kbase.sys blue screen. Something not right.

II use MS surface pro 7. I got the same issue. I don't think it is about WACOM. It should be about the updates and edge. I did not see any solutions yet but I expect this issue to be widespread soon.

I faced the same issue as well. Started only yesterday when I was annotating on pdf file with edge. Blue screen occurred. Message: Stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the other one was resource not Owned. Crashed more than 10 times in a day!

I have the same problem.
I am using ms-edge and a wacom tablet, and the error code is resource_not_owned.
Had never had BSODs with this error code, but it all started today.

I tried to downgrade the Edge and succeeded, but I can't stop autoupdates, even if blocked in the registry.
I guess, it's another bug: "Update policies are configured but will be ignored because this device isn't domain joined."

I faced the same issue today while annotating on a PDF opened with edge. In fact, it's still happening every time I try to draw anything on edge with wacom tablet. Updated wacom driver. Didn't help.

Same problem as many others. Surface Pro, Win 10, as of 03Oct2021 I keep getting
stop code : RESOURCE_NOT_OWNED and/or IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL when using EDGE.
PC locksup or Crashes all the time, when trying to surf to find answers and when using other apps.
Seems OK on FIREFOX.
Solution required please. Its driving me nuts.

Same thing is happening on my XPS 13 2-in-1. When I use the stylist to draw on PDFs in Edge, I get the blue screen of death and "resource_not_owned." Has anyone found a solution / has anyone received an Edge update from Microsoft?

Oh so glad to see others are recently experiencing the same issue. I'm a teacher trying to mark and annotate student papers in .pdf and Edge and constantly receiving the BSoD! Gosh, I hope they fix this soon. I've done everything ... deleted cache, restored default settings, delete extensions ... and nothing! I had to download "Drawboard" as a temporary .pdf viewer.

I have the Surface Pro 2017 and today had this issue with my surface slim pen and edge. So it must be a problem with edge (I've tried more basic pen like the hp one and no issue, only with my surface pen 2017 and the surface slim pen)
blue screen RESSOURCE NOT OWNED more than 10 times... tried to contact the assistance, reinstall windows 10, still not works of course
I hope microsoft will take our concern in consideration !!

Similar issue, with an XP-Pen tablet not WACOM. Get variety of BSODs such as "irql not less or equal", "resource not owned", and "system service exception". Really annoying.

i do have the same problem with my xp pen deco 01 v2 as well though i'm using edge beta version 95. tried downgrading the system update that i thought was the problem to blame, but it didn't work, and it's been occurring to me 3 times already.

Not sure if this helps, but it worked for me.

Can you try to check if hardware acceleration is disabled in Edge? Go to Edge's SETTINGS > SYSTEM > turn off Use hardware acceleration when available.

Afterwards, turn off IE 11 by pressing Windows/Start and search for Turn Windows features on or off, look for Internet Explorer 11 and uncheck the box beside it. Choose YES when a popup shows, click OK to make the changes and click RESTART NOW to fully implement the changes done on your device.

I did a Microsoft Edge repair as suggested about 5 hours ago. Re-enabled Windows Ink option in my Parblo drawing tablet settings.

Control panel -> Programs and Features (Uninstall a Program) > Select Edge Browser > Change > Repair > restart PC

No crash in the past 5 hours.

So far so good.

try updating the firmware of tablet as it helped me and now i am able to use windows ink mode in edge browser too....check your manufacturers website for latest firmware updates for your graphic tablet......by doing this you won't have to uncheck windows ink feature.

Yesterday I started getting frequent BSODs on my XPS 2-in-1 and Surface Go 2 seconds into using Edge with stop code "resource not owned". I believe Dell may be Wacom based but i thought surfsce pen is N-Trig. Anyway problems resolved by uninstalling Edge. Went back to Chrome.

I tried to unistall Edge, but I don't have that option, only "modify". Tried everything else though ... so frustrating. I hope they fix this soon!

Today Windows 11 became available and I used the Windows 11 Installation Assistant to install it on both my XPS and Surface Go 2, and reinstalled Edge from the Microsoft Store. Everything working fine again. Touch wood.

Sadly no. I'm hoping they fix it soon! In the meantime I've downloaded a different .pdf reader called Draw Board. It's free and actually pretty great. But still hoping there's a hotfix or update for Edge.

Same issue here. I'm using xp-pen g430s. Everytime I start the pentatablet driver app a blue screen plots reporting resource not owned.

Same issue with XP Pen Doc 01 V2.
After updating with the latest version from Windows 10.

Previously it was working fine before updating, but now its "Blue screen death and system forced restarted"
With error 'resource not owned'.
I checked all trouble shoot option and even reset my pc but again after updating same issue.

I think drivers and update bug causing issue,
Hope Issue will be fixed sooner.

Help me out if there is any alternate solutions.

I am using the lenovo yoga active pen 2. Every time I try to annotate a pdf on Edge, I get the blue screen of death saying things such as: RESOURCE_NOT_OWNED or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION.

I have tried the basic tutorials about running health scans on my laptop. Nothing has worked.

(My pen works on Whiteboard or other applications)

Please help!!!
