I think you read the wrong page. you read the supported Intel processors page not for windows 11
please see the title of the web page you read.

coz i do so before. i think my device has been supported for win 11. Unfortunately i read the wrong pages.

    again,
Windows 11 supported Intel processors link:

You are correct. Thank you for that. I clicked the Windows 10 21H1 link and not the Windows 11 link.

It's too bad this Dell Optiplex 3050 is only a year old.

Ugh, I am disappointed. I do not want to go and buy a "compatible" laptop because who knows if Microsoft won't support that processor again. I'm just trying to upgrade to W11 which I, among others, have waited long for, only to find out it isn't compatible. Hopefully, Microsoft will reconsider expanding their list of "compatible" processors.

this is really terrible. restricting Windows 11 upgrade by CPU model number.

My 1.6 GHz Core i5 (I5-5250U) --> Just got a macOS Monterey upgrade.

but my newer PC with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.40 GHz -- is restricted by Microsoft to upgrade to Windows 11.. Not a great example set by Microsoft..

I would also like to have an explanation from windows why many Intel® Core™ i7 processors are approved but not 6500U. But it's ok this will only speed up my process of switching over to Linux. P.S. This is also a 1st world problem... Or maybe it's Microsoft problem after losing clients.
