Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 135 Release Notes


Service Update 135 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 117.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 135 will now correspond to version number 135xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

An (*) at the end of a fix statement denotes that this repair item was incorporated into multiple service update releases.

Service Update 135 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Folders In Unified Interface, after unlinking a contract from "Identify Contact" under "Qualify", and then refreshing the page, the contact still appeared.

Knowledge Management

  • In the Card Configuration settings for the Unified Interface Timeline, the first task header displayed the "ModifiedBy" value instead of the "Owner" value.
  • Note attachments could not be viewed or downloaded for any entity using an iOS mobile device.*
  • The button used to expand/collapse a Trusted Language Runtime reply post displayed with the unexpected name "[Object object]".
  • The Timeline did not reflect changes to a record's owner.*
  • When hovering over a Trusted Language Runtime header label, it did not display the correct pointer icon and instead displayed a border around the label.*

Outlook

  • The "Save and Close" button on the Quick Create form did not function.

Platform Services

  • An entity's security role could not be updated.*
  • Data did not display in charts for users with certain roles.
  • Mailboxes were not synchronizing from Dynamics 365 to Outlook.
  • Signatures could not be retrieved to display as a picture in a report.*
  • The LastName field in an entity could not be changed.
  • App updates failed when a feature control block was enabled.
  • The values of the "Old Value" and "New Value" fields in the audit history of an entity record were blank.
  • Users of an external app using API connectors to Dynamics experienced slow performance.*

Sales

  • Screen readers did not read the category name for the radio buttons in the "Email Templates" popup.

Solutions

  • "Subject" could not be selected from the Subject look up field.*
  • A dropdown menu did not appear in the Subject field on the Summary tab of the Customer Service Hub when the field was selected, unless the field was selected multiple times.
  • The Assign button on a custom entity did not function when an SLA was associated with that entity.*

Unified Interface

  • A "Save & New" button displayed unexpectedly in a "Systemuser" record.*
  • Chart previews could not be viewed when creating a personal chart using the Personal view or System view.
  • In the Contact entity, checkboxes did not change when selected, depending on which part of the checkbox was clicked on.
  • The "Leave this Page" alert popup was taller than expected.
  • The "Resettable" field was missing.*
  • Focus location was not visible when navigating to some buttons ("Apply", "Cancel", or "Clear", using a keyboard.*
  • The browser window could not be resized when displaying the Sales Activity Social Dashboard.

Web Client

  • Email Conversation view on Social pane (Timeline) displayed first line of email content along with HTML styles in the collapsed view. After this release, the subject of the email will be displayed in the collapsed view.*

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Folders

  • An error occurred when updating a field in a Candidates records and navigating to the next stage without saving ("unable to save form data due to web resource registered onSave invoking preventDefault").*
  • Validating a business process flow on a project task entity resulted in an error ("An attribute with the specified name already exists").

Outlook

  • Configuring Dynamics 365 for Outlook failed with an error ("This version of Outlook client isn't compatible with your Dynamics 365 organization").

Platform Services

  • An error occurred when accessing the Customer Service Hub UCI app ("You need a Microsoft Dynamics 365 security role to continue").*
  • An error occurred when importing a solution ("No rows could be found for LocalizedLabel with id ... if LocalizedLabel were published during solution import.").*
  • An error occurred when launching Dynamics 365 for Outlook ("We are unable to show Dynamics 365 App for Outlook because current user role does not have required permissions…").*
  • An error resulted from performing FetchXML queries using Advanced Find and Web API.*
  • The Voice of the Customer app could not be uninstalled. ("This solution cannot be uninstalled because the 'LocalizedLabel' with id ... is required by the 'VoiceOfTheCustomer' solution. Uninstall the VoiceOfTheCustomer solution and try again. ").*

Sales

  • When using some views, charts displayed an error when rendering ("Invalid column name 'groupby_column_activestageid'.").

Unified Interface

  • An error occurred when importing a solution ("Error -- {"'appmodule' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'optimizedfor' and NameMapping = 'Platform'."}").*
  • An error occurred when importing a solution while the app module was in a deleted state ("This solution package contains an update for a solution that is already installed.").*
  • Setting an unresolved email address on the "CC" field of a form resulted in an error ("Cannot create an activity party of the specified object type.").
